Welcome to the Northwest Georgia Antique Tractor & Engine Club, Inc.  We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, restoration and promotion of antique farm machinery.  We invite you to join us on the second Thursday of every month in Dalton, Georgia for dinner and our monthly meeting.

In the early 1900's the North Georgia area was made up of small family farms.  The farmers production was very limited.  Horses were often the tool of choice for chores, but the were slow and required the use of great deal of man power.  By the early 1940's WWII was bearing down and with much of the work force dedicated to fighting the war and the need to produce to food and other farm commadilities more important than ever the small farm tractor became an economical and necessary solution to the farmer's problems.  The North Georgia farmer had to work very hard and make many sacrifices to own a tractor, but the added productivity made it a wise investment.  These sturdy little machines work diligently day after day and year after year until they became almost like a part of the family.

In the mid 1960's industry came to North Georgia and carpet replaced cotton.  Small farms were becoming a thing of the past and in many cases the trusty tractor was retired and left to rust.

In 1998 the Northwest Georgia Antique Tractor and Engine Club was founded to unite individuals who take great pleasure and enjoyment to restoring the tractors back to their original glory and sharing them with others.

The temperatures have now began to rise some and you can almost see a glimmer of spring.  A time to start thinking about gardening, picnics and tractor shows.

This year will mark the 11th year for the Show and Shine, which will be held June 13th & 14th.  As usually we will have cars, trucks, tractors, equipment, motorcycles, racecars and other unusual items.  The show is free of charge (donations accepted)  and everyone is invited to attend. Our members work very hard every year to make this a great show.  For more information regarding the upcoming Show & Shine click on
